Real Estate with a Clear Conscience.

Yes, it’s a thing.  You can build a business that you can feel proud of, and that business can be significant – both in its impact and in its material rewards.

Many agents feel a tension between their internal values and what they think is expected of them in real estate.   If this is you, read on and consider sharing this with a colleague you like who seems to be suffering.     Life is too precious to waste it fighting internal dissonance.

This week Mike Majeski and I sat down for a chat by the fire.  Mike is a long time client of mine.   Mike is #15 at Re/Max for Canada completing 69 transactions for 2024 to date.  He works in Toronto West so you can likely do the math.  He is earning significant material rewards.

Mike attributes his success not to grind, persistence or techniques.   He shares that he’s earned this business through the art of meaningful conversations, with a massive emphasis on Meaningful.   He is high energy, organized (with help) and diligent but much of that came as a result of being busy and having great clients.

Mike has grown his business from 15 to 70+ deals per year in less than seven years while coaching with me. It’s been a really fun journey.

Too many agents spend time preparing to be busy versus having the conversations essential to become busy.   When asked about his CRM, Mikes responds, “I’ve spent $30k on CRM’s over the years and I don’t use one.  It’s better to have 10 conversations than to think about having 10 conversations and having 3.”  This is important. Take a moment to reflect on this.   Thinking about doing the things that make you successful will not make you successful.  (Mike’s wife Sommer recently joined Mike and she is implementing a CRM for the back end)

So how do we have meaningful conversations and how does this relieve guilt and build a clear conscience?

It’s an attitude, a mindset and a way of being.  It’s also a skillset.   It is about being authentic, empathetic, curious and courageous.  It’s about building the communication and negotiation skills to deeply understand other human beings, build professional trust and create solutions for them.    It’s having a business that is people centered, not agent and money focussed.

It’s not easy, but it’s remarkably rewarding. The Nature of Real Estate has a pathway for you to develop it.

Many people who take my negotiation courses, comment in their testimonials (link here) that they not only found the courses a massive game changer for their real estate business but that they were so relieved to learn that they could be successful in real estate being their authentic selves.

Having Meaningful Conversations is an art form and there is no one better to teach you this as is applies to real estate than Suze and The Nature of Real Estate.

““I never felt as though I belonged in the “generic” world of real estate because nothing felt genuine. Then I met Suze and her approach to this business and it finally felt like something I could feel fulfilled doing. Thank you!”
