How to Succeed when it’s Hard.

Real Estate is hard right now and I applaud every agent who is focused on the goal of helping people make great decisions about real estate.

They need our knowledge and expertise more than ever.

I had an incredibly challenging sailboat race this past weekend.   It was cold, rainy and windy.   The race was 100 nautical miles back and forth across the Georgia Strait off the coast of Vancouver.  It was uncomfortable and exhausting and there were times where we all just wanted to be somewhere warm and safe.  It was a long night of heavy wind and hard work and in the end, we had a great result.   We won our division and placed well overall considering this was our first serious race in Reepicheep – my Sabre 386.

I share this story because I think it’s a powerful metaphor for success.    In life, many things are hard and the people who have the commitment, perseverance, tenacity, and grit to do the hard work, are the ones who succeed.   Every time.

“Tough times don’t last
Tough people do.”

Robert H. Schuller

I’ve been in real estate for 38 years and I have seen many different markets in that time.  The market right now is unique but the challenges it presents are common to other difficult markets.   What do you need to survive and thrive in this market?

·      The persistence to have conversations with people about real estate.

·      The mindset to overcome negativity and self-doubt.

·      The professional skills to get clients and close deals.

·      The tenacity and grit to keep at it even when its hard.

The tough markets are the ones that make-or-break real estate agents.   If you are committed to a long-term career in real estate, join us to get the professional skills you need and the certifications to show people how you can get them the best results.
